School's Chairman Welcome

chairmanThe future of management will be fundamentally different from everything we have known in the past. While the computer revolution took about twenty years to reach most people, the communications revolution of the early 1990s needed less than a decade. The Internet revolution brought immediate changes to lifestyles and the job market. The artificial intelligence (AI) revolution will surpass previous ones in both speed and impact, reshaping every facet of human life and behavior. In this environment, management challenges will become significantly more complex and demanding.

Management in this new era will require managers to adapt to a chaotic, ever-changing, and rapidly evolving landscape. Moreover, managers must demonstrate their unique value. For the first time in history, the AI revolution threatens white-collar workers, professionals, and managers—groups previously shielded from technological disruptions. In this new era, senior employees and managers must not only outperform their peers but also prove their edge over AI machines.

At the School of Business Administration at Bar-Ilan University, we are dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders who will thrive in a rapidly evolving world. With a focus on academic excellence, critical thinking, and practical experience, we empower our students to face the challenges of the 21st century. Our programs are designed to provide a solid foundation in both theory and practice, ensuring that graduates possess the knowledge to succeed and the skills to innovate, lead, and adapt in an ever-changing global landscape.

Established in 1993, the school has continually grown and evolved. Unlike other business schools in Israel, we focus exclusively on advanced degrees, without offering undergraduate programs. In line with global standards, we believe business administration should be grounded in a solid undergraduate foundation in a professional or experiential field. Our programs seamlessly integrate both theoretical and practical elements, with an emphasis on developing strong theoretical foundations and long-term analytical skills that support our graduates throughout their careers. Our graduates are leaders in Israel’s economy and industry, and their achievements bring great pride to the school while contributing significantly to society and the economy.

In today’s competitive business environment, success relies on strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, data-driven decision-making, and the application of both theoretical and practical models. At our school, we integrate these core competencies into our curriculum, ensuring a deep understanding of the underlying theory. This approach is reflected across all specializations, including finance, marketing and business development, management and organizational behavior, and information systems.

At the School of Business Administration, we encourage our students to think critically, solve complex problems, and embrace creativity. Through experiential learning, industry partnerships, and faculty involved in cutting-edge research, we ensure that students gain both practical insights and theoretical knowledge. The school prioritizes teaching in various management fields while also fostering critical thinking to navigate the complex business, social, and technological landscape. We cultivate an environment that promotes data-driven decision-making and forward-thinking strategies, preparing our graduates to become leaders who thrive in uncertainty and excel in their careers.

As the school offers only graduate programs, its faculty is relatively small. Limited admission ensures personal interaction with faculty, a high-quality learning environment, and student services. We take pride in the school’s warm and unique atmosphere, recognizing the critical importance of both administrative and academic support. Together with our students, we have navigated challenging times and complex events, all while maintaining a productive and professional learning environment. We ensure that all populations, including reservists and displaced individuals, receive support, leaving no one behind.

We will continue to uphold these principles to ensure the value we provide to our graduates—their ability to analyze, research, innovate, and lead. We will remain a warm and supportive home, from the initial inquiry through the completion of studies and throughout the professional careers of all our graduates.

We remain committed to upholding these principles, ensuring our graduates can analyze, research, innovate, and lead. We will continue to be a warm and supportive home, from the initial inquiry to the completion of studies and throughout our graduates' professional careers.

Sincerely Yours,

Prof. Guy Kaplanski,

Chairman of Business School
