Position effects in simultaneous choice.Speaker:
When choosing among identical objects presented simulatenously (e.g., shampoos on a supermarket shelf), does their spatial position matter? And if the objects are not identical (e.g., salads in a salad bar), are they subject to the same effects? I will present a framework for categorizing a varied array of such studies, and attempt to draw a coherent picture of the various reported effects.
